Christopher Childs

Animation 2020

Christopher Childs is an animation filmmaker and artist based in Bristol. He often uses physical materials, such as card and paint, and experiments with sound design, crafting strange and surreal films. His graduate short, “My Favourite Hill!”, is a paper cut-out film about a group of crazed factory workers.

Christopher also curates and organises ‘Off-Beat Animation’, a small film society in Bristol, which celebrates independent and alternative animation.

My Favourite Hill!

Graduate short film. A group of factory workers become obsessed with a hill. They let loose on the marshy earth, succumbing to their strange desires. The hill watches them closely, commenting on their activities like a deranged poet.
