Amber Bower

I am a practicing artist who's interests lie in Lived Performance, Fabrication and Installation. Through the final year on my course I performed a piece that spanned the whole year, where I simply marked Time in a routined and calculated fashion with marks of paint on paper, studying the construct of Time throughout. This is an example of the gestures I explore in my own practice.
Alongside my personal practice, I assist in project managing on behalf of other artist. Wherein I help budget, organise and fabricate projects and promote the artist through managing their social media and the

administrative element of their work, whether for specific events or as a general consultant.

MARKING TIME

For 7 months and 2 days I marked moments in time on a roll of paper with black paint and a paintbrush, counting the marks each day and documenting them in a journal. The marks have become repetitive and continuous, mimicking the character of time.
