My main concern is in questioning and creating metaphors on conditions of visibility through subtle gestures. I like to intervene in existing structures and simultaneously create new ones. I try to draw beauty and poetry out of humble materials, creating works that reflect the fragility of the world and allow for individual experiences of perception. Although my work could be contextualised into a minimalist art practice my main interest lies in the subtleties of the senses, with an invitation to look closer and slow down. It is work that has nothing to say but its there to be encountered.
The enthusiasm in my work is to create atmosphere rather than content. In this way, simplicity is central to my practice. The installations are to me an exploration into sensory experiences with an attempt to bring an imaginative sensibility towards the poetics of artistic practice.
