Katie Brunt

I step away from the usual viewpoint of where I live, where others live, and where objects live. This enables me to reconsider the information and values of different kinds of spaces. I generate methodical investigations which use systems to free spatial parameters. I create an environment which evolves from a study, and the result is a multifaced situation which leans towards architecture and design with conceptual interpretation. A combination of elements, textures, and approaches to display produce material systems which visualise the non-visuals and evidence the flux in events. My arrangements are schematic, abstract, and work on a

human scale. It concerns belonging and place, being part of somewhere and not and inviting the viewer towards a place of speculation.
