Creative & Professional Writing

The UWE Creative and Professional Writing Class of 2021 has produced a fantastic – and fantastically varied – range of work, from scripts for feature films, TV and stage, plus fiction in a variety of genres (including historical, crime, fantasy and Young Adult) to articles, social media adverts, and business and marketing copy for professional clients.

Alexis Clement and Jacob Kohn have developed successful freelance copywriting portfolios. Chloe Smith has been awarded an internship with Rin Hamburgh and a writing role with UWE’s Windrush project. Lauren Baker has secured a graduate marketing position with FUEL10K and Tilly Wallace has

founded a social media marketing agency. Hugo Lepp has released music and spoken word recordings. In addition to roles with a publishing charity and in copywriting, Ellie Potts has written a libretto in collaboration with the UWE Centre for Music, which will be performed live in 2022.
