Filmmaking at UWE produces award-winning work that goes have a life at film festivals, including the Encounters, Aesthetica, the Student RTS Awards and NAHEMI Kodak Commercial Awards.

Despite the overwhelming impact COVID-19 has had on our graduating students’ final projects, we are extremely proud of the work they made prior to lockdown and what they have achieved working remotely since.

The work presented here is testimony to their passion, creativity and determination that they have carried on making work in such challenging circumstances. Llike the industries they aim to enter, their collective spirit is one of resilience, adaptability and

optimism in the face of adversity. We are extremely proud of each of our students and confident that they will go on to make important contributions to the post-Corona filmmaking community.

Their voices are original and their films range from heart-rending personal stories through to out-and-out comedy, from documentary and narrative, to experimental, commercial and viral filmmaking, demonstrating an extraordinary level of technical ability right across the spectrum of industry craft specialisms.
