I express myself through creating spaces and atmospheres using my design process and development of materials, sketching, models and concept experimentation. Creating meaningful and conceptual spaces excites me and allows me to show my designs and thought process physically whilst also considering how someone may feel within a space.
Syncopation - Site Elevation
‘Syncopation’. This design uses the idea of Syncopation in creating a space that allows each element of the concept to play a part in creating the atmosphere. Research, design and development all work together in the same way rhythms play together in a piece of music. Syncopation allows a journey through the space providing an experience that works alongside phenomenology and the concept allowing each individual to have their own unique experience. Using every element of the concept to promote and celebrate Jazz and the dark sky providing a powerful message that will leave people having a positive experience. - Elevation showing an overview of the complete site. Syncopation - Water Tower First Floor Bar
This is a visual of the bar as you enter the first floor of the Water Tower. This design creates an exclusive feel of a bar whilst using material inspiration from the textures of brass and a Jazz trumpet.
Syncopation - Water Tower Second Floor Jazz Bar
A visual of the second floor of the Water Tower. An intimate Jazz Bar that leads up to the roof of the Tower. This space has an exclusive atmosphere whilst connecting each floor of the tower through the visitors journey.
Syncopation - Water Tower Roof Seating/Dark Sky Viewing Area
A visual of the Water Tower Roof seating and dark sky viewing area. This space provides a lowered seating space that allows appreciation for the dark sky whilst accompanied by the atmosphere of Jazz music.
Syncopation - Reservoir Entrance
A visual of the entrance of the Reservoir. This space takes you into the main Jazz Club of the site. This design takes inspiration from complex rhythms of Jazz music and how that effects the movement of music and spaces.

Visual of the Jazz Club in the Reservoir. An overview of the bar, seating areas, stage and dance floor. This space creates atmosphere through use of materials, colours, lighting and spatial structures. A large space that creates an intimate feeling.
