Architectural Technology & Design

BSc Architectural Technology and Design programme aims to bridge the gap between conceptual architectural design and construction by emphasising technical development as an integral element of contemporary design. Students develop strong architectural, material, technical and detailing knowledge, to be able to effectively converse and collaborate with other design and construction professionals. As well as introducing architectural design and construction principles, the programme introduces computer modelling, simulation, and digital collaboration techniques that further support the multi-disciplinary approach. Upon completion of the programme, our graduates are able to design, analyse and respond to a full spectrum of architectural parameters, allowing for

architecturally expressive, technically sound, and buildable project solutions. The structure of the programme achieves a strong balance between architecture theory and technical excellence and achieves a unique mix. This mix creates employable, construction ready, design technologists, demonstrated by Graduate Outcome Survey results and backed up by our outstanding National Student Survey results.
