Matthew Feurtado

My passion for creating images is derived from a sense of wonderment in the landscapes and cultures that make up the world. My ambition is to make a living recording isolated peoples and places with sensitivity.

I spent my time at university honing my technical ability, specialising in camera operation. I strived to pair this work with research, which mostly covered ethnographic practice.

As I exit university, I am looking to gain experience in documentary camera crews, whilst collecting funds to facilitate low budget personal projects in Afghanistan.

Nametan Cist?

I have curated a collection of documentary photographs, covering subjects in Afghanistan, Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and more. The full collection can be found at: https://feurtado.squarespace.com/photography

The Springsbury Bird Hoax

I was the writer and director of photography on an award-winning, melancholic drama about an old man and his struggle to save his beloved forest.

Watertight
