Amy Knight

I am Amy Knight, a hands-on stylist and set designer with creative direction skills, having led innovative team projects. I enjoy experimental styling and love the artistic and eccentric side of the industry. My work is adaptable and varies from more commercialised styling to my own creative self-led projects, through to more theatrical costumes to create narrative in publication. I thrive in the subtle details of a project but equally love to focus on silhouettes and creating shape.

In my most recent project, I produced a 56-page photobook compiling my best experimental styling looks, taking reference from the extravagant 80s era, combined with modern maximalism with some looks inspired by simple everyday objects. This project was a complete fusion of my creative ideas, and was chosen to be featured on the Graduate Fashion Week Instagram as a part of a University takeover.

DEFY - A Photobook - Self Directed Project

I wanted to create this book in order to showcase my style of work. I feel that this book presents a collection of my styling approaches as well as a deeper understanding of who I am as a creative.

Viktor and Rolf X Zara: Bloom - Brand Campaign Project

This independent project was a campaign in response to my in-depth market research into Viktor and Rolf's weaknesses, which led to my proposed high street capsule collection with Zara to expand reach and accessibility through a lower price point.

'Beauty's Place' - Proposed Beauty Papers Feature

In 'Beauty's Place', I explore beauty and fashion in an environment where they don't 'fit'. In various empty isolated locations, 'a glamourised scarecrow' is placed to convey the message that that fashion still exists when it is not seen.

Tank Magazine - 'Every Day Culting'

Responding to the word 'collective' as a group, we produced a 12 page feature called 'Every Day Culting' taking a comedic approach to the unseen every day life of a stereotypical cult member. Styling and set design by me.

Smiley X Kickers - 'Kick up your clothes'

We created a nostalgic British bedroom themed campaign in collaboration with Kickers to directly target Gen Z consumers. The campaign’s main idea was to design Kickers X Smiley merchandise and open a pop-up shop - set design by me.

Fred Perry - A Pint with Fred

We created our imagery with a focus on community and ritual for this group live project for Fred Perry based on research into subculture - one of the 3 brand pillars. I was the creative director.
