Blue sky is a coming of age comedy drama based in Stoke-On-Trent in 1983. It was my first film project as sound recordist and sound designer in second year. It was also a nominee for an RTS student award 2023

Hi, I’m Alex.
Growing up I’ve always had a fascination with sound, whether that's in the real world, in games, music or films. Even now, when I go to the cinema, I’m still intrigued at how sound can be moved around the space, creating a whole other world outside of the images.
It wasn’t until I started my studies at UWE that I fully start to understand the thought and creativity that go into sound design and location recording.
Over my three years studying filmmaking, I have fallen into the wonderful world of sound, from location recording to sound design. In my final year, I had the opportunity to work with spatial audio, impulse responses, and convolution reverb to build and create an immersive space.
In the future, I hope to continue recording and building these immersive audio spaces and challenging my creativity and imagination.

A short film looking at children's imagination and their creative ways of coping with difficult situations, taking the form of a classic Western style. I was lead sound recordist and sound designer and composer on this project. (awaiting release)
Dai
Dai is a tragic story of a slate miner in North Wales during the 1900's. I was recordist, sound designer and composer for this project, it is my most challenging project this far first 5.1 mix (awaiting release)
