An experimental film I co-wrote and directed in year 1. I also happen to star in it. It explores death and decay, which is ironic as I suffered a massive loss in my final year. It feels pre-emptive...art is funny.

Hi, I'm Ella Rix and I hope to one day be a producer in the industry.
My 3 years at UWE have taught me a lot about myself and how I work. I thrive alongside a collaborative crew and am always keen to please - putting a lot of heart and ambition into any project I work on. I have developed my skills in an array of areas such as cinematography, directing, editing and producing. My organisational and people skills help me fall naturally into producing. A few examples of my work can be found below.
I am primarily interested in working in drama and thrillers, with a huge personal interest in experimental film. My biggest aspiration at 21 is to make a film which stems from the loss of my father, and so I am excited to see where the future might take me.

Agnes
A short drama on which I was 1st AD and editor. It's a lovely film about a grandson taking his grandmother to a care home - he also happens to drop some psychedelics which she picks up. Made in year 1.
GREEN LACES
A 90s-inspired Adidas advert, shot partially on film, which I was Production Manager on. One of my favourite pieces I've helped create - hiring kids is hard! Made in 3rd year.
