Jake Murray

I am a Bristol/London-based filmmaker specialising in the camera department. Being born and raised in East London provided me with a desire to represent working class communities and stories. Therefore, my work is inspired by finding beauty in the everyday mundane of British culture. I have developed a range of camera and lighting skills in scripted, documentary, music video, commercial and photography work across digital and analogue formats. Two films I have shot have garnered RTS nominations, and I have worked under professional Gaffers and DOPs such as Adam Barnett.

I am most interested by social realist narratives with a naturalistic documentary style of cinematography. I look forward to continuing exploring new passions in camera and lighting as an operator, AC, trainee or spark.
