I would categorise my practice as sitting within the space of Arte Povera and Process-oriented Art, I’m interested in physicality, tactility, flow/focus, presence of mind and animation. I believe that the mere act of taking action is a greater driver of creativity than moments of inspiration or the feeling of motivation. For me ideas and outcomes are secondary to the process of making. I like dolphin diving head first into new art forms and doggie paddling my way toward something resembling an artistic output.
My ongoing desire is to develop an understanding of a variety of artistic disciplines with the hope of organize small workshops in my area to transfer some of the things I’ve learned to others whiles improving my understanding of these mediums.
