I construct my work from my own memories and experiences, woven with a range of visuals from films, museums, books and places. I carefully consider the spaces between objects and compose drawings and etchings rich in surface, pattern and tone. This is driven by my fascination with the gentle ordinariness of place and how objects charactarise a place while narrating and describing a life.

Drawing is at the heart of my practice, my observations are immediate and are not held by linear lines and perspectives. This immediacy sets a visual language that I take into the print room,

where I then slowly consider and build scenes that hold small moments of narrative.

Now I can feel the sun in my eyes
