Liz Greaves

I am inspired to creatively respond to archives through printmaking and ceramics. Through making interventions with existing collections, I aim to engage viewers to reconsider their preconceptions and provide an informed, fresh outlook. Archives fascinate me with their layers of meanings, tales, and historical gaps.

I have been researching at Glenside Hospital Museum. The temptation is to keep going with a never-ending search. I am constantly fascinated by the choice of objects found both in museums and in our own homes. Objects are a means of storytelling, of making responsive connections with both history and the present.
