No Dogs
No Dogs is about my connection to a father with a long-term illness; sadly, during my project, my father passed away January 25th, 2023, and this has impacted me in unimaginable ways. My project has become my exploration of grief.

This was a collaboration with my father, but I had to change how I approached collaboration due to his death, so I carried this on by exposing every image by 1.25 seconds (the date Dad passed away).

I was also only shooting between 7-9 pm, as this was around the time I last saw Dad as he passed away. I was taking images though his glasses and listening to music my father and I shared.

I hope that people who have experienced the loss of a parent or family member will connect with the work I have produced.

By creating a discourse around grief and emotional processing, I hope to help others feel seen and understood from my experiences while also breaking down the taboo surrounding death and the pain it can bring.
