Henry the Houseplant: short film trailer
'Henry the Houseplant' is my 3D animated grad film. It tells the story of an old lady who goes above and beyond to save her dying house plant.
Hey, I’m Amber! I’m a filmmaker and artist where my
current practice is in 3D animation using software
such as Autodesk Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter
and Unreal Engine.
Over my time studying animation I have created
several short films with a focus on telling stories with
a positive impact and personal touch. My graduate
film “Henry the Houseplant” tells the story of an old
lady and her strong devoted love for her Houseplant,
which is influenced by my loving Grandma. My
previous short film “Soft Toys” follows the story of
two toys Ellie and Theo as they discuss a sensitive
topic their owner is facing.
Alongside my studies I have been furthering my
practice by working as a freelance animator, creating
work for companies such as Ara Recovery for all
and UWE marketing. After studying animation I plan to
continue developing my skills as a 3D artist and
storyteller.
