Hey there! My name is Robert Allen, and I am a writer director based in Southwest England. I love what I do and can’t wait to see what’s next for me after graduating from UWE.
I view all my projects are a way to challenge myself and push the boundaries of what we’re all capable of as filmmakers. I have a particular interest in script story and like to work at a script until I believe it’s not just telling the story I want to tell, but making sure the narrative aligns with common screenwriting theories.
My passion for story has been recognized by my peers, as they have invited work on their projects as a script editor. They have allowed me to develop and excel in this role. I'm eager to continue my work post-grad in development for script, as there's so much more I am hope to learn.

A microshort comedy based on my favourite dad joke. St. Peter is working the check in desk to heaven, when he is met by 3 strange individuals.
Brawl out Attack! - Treatment (Writer/Director)
A treatment for for a short film I am developing. This idea is inspired by old school martial arts comics like Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball.
Don't Pause the Fun - Just Eat! (Director)
A spec advert I directed for food delivery service Just Eat! Paying homage to popular video game series Super Mario.
From your younger self (Writer)
A short film about female friendship. After receiving a letter she wrote when she was 7 years old, Margot reflects on her life and learns what is truly important to her.
Soulmates and Spitfires (Writer/Director)
A romantic Comedy Period Film focusing on a young woman's experience with crushes and romance during the second world war. Ellie is working in a secret spitfire factory where she meets a young man named Matthew.
