Hi, I'm Romy, a versatile filmmaker with a background in fine art and photography. Throughout my degree, I have specialised in the camera department and directing.
As a cinematographer, I am drawn to the spontaneity of documentary-style projects, enjoying the challenge of capturing raw, unplanned moments in a run-and-gun style. As a director, I am particularly passionate about telling female-led stories, reflected in my portfolio of three major narrative projects centred around women's experiences.
I recently completed the Bottle Yard Studios HETV Development course and will soon be joining a BBC production as a freelance camera trainee. Looking ahead, I am eager to develop my career in the industry through pursuing more opportunities as a camera trainee and runner. Additionally, I aspire to blend my disciplines by making documentary projects focusing on female-centred stories.
