Mihone Forsyth

I use oil paint to create tranquil dreamscapes. The backgrounds are natural horizons inspired by places I am deeply fond of, and act as a stage set for the objects I place within that surrounding. I am drawn to combining manmade technologies like TVs, radios, light bulbs etc with Earth's entities like bones, stars and the moon. The merge of artificial objects and nature illustrate humans' intrinsic link to the natural world.
Recently the themes I have been contemplating in my practice are metamorphosis, sleep, dreams and the Anthropocene.
