Grace McCrindle

Sensory submerged in an alienated world. The clock is constantly ticking, where do you go for comfort? I started my character creations through my own self journey of discovering I was autistic and how I navigated feeling comforted as a child through creativity. I’m very open minded and constantly looking to discover and learn new techniques and perspectives. I enjoy exploring my characters and the world that they reside in, formatting in paintings, sculptures, textile teddies, clothing, visuals, videos, sound and whatever materials may inspire me. Having an inherently creative mind I don’t just exclude this to artwork but to communicating and experiencing all human sense through everyday experiences. My work embodies various meanings and messages of difficult self journeys with a mix of awareness and the hope of improvement and change in the world towards accessibility.
