I am fascinated with the everyday. Events or places that society takes for granted or overlooks is where I love to point my lens. Creating work about such subjects usually forms a genuine obsession with them, resulting in in-depth and meaningful observations of daily life on Earth. Using a New Topographics approach to my subjects presents them in a pure and beautiful manner, celebrating the mundanity in our existence. Photography was invented solely as a medium for documentation, and my practice is very much rooted in this foundation of the medium – I don’t like artificial light or heavy editing or AI, but I do like life and I do like documenting it!

These images are part of a project: an expose and fetishisation of the Great British service station: perhaps the most boring and underappreciated feature of the British landscape. The project aims to turn them back into desirable destinations once again.
Thiese come from a project that is an exploration of the concept of enthusiasm, focusing on a group of volunteers at a small railway near Walsall. A quiet narrative of dedication, passion and friendship, all formed thanks to shared interests.
Alongside a few of my coursemates, I shot Bristol-based indie band Beware The Bears on location and in a studio. We made a small zine of the images and they used our images on their Instagram and Spotify pages.
