I am an aspiring background painter and 2D animator, about to graduate with a BA(hons) in animation. I take much of my inspiration from nature and the world around me and enjoy experimenting with shape and colour. I aim to create ivocative and visually striking backgrounds to accompany my frame-by-frame 2D animation.
Studying abroad really opened me up to the possibilities of using surrealism within animation, and I have enjoyed exploring these concepts on my final year at UWE! My thesis film, Life Cycle, is all about evolution and, in turn, the process of life, death and rebirth. Life Cycle is an spiritual successor to my second-year film, UToPIA and will premiere at the UWE Degree Show in June.
