Old man Turnaround
I created a character turnaround for my main character for my final year film. By adding textures to the drawing I managed to create the look of an old man and a sense of his loneliness.

Olivia Swiatek is a very dedicated and determined animator that has a deep love for 2D animation, from storytelling to 2D cut-out animation and 2D rigging. She has directed and produced her own short film "Samotny", featuring an old lonely man discovering how to live after the passing of his wife, by following a beautiful sound that may or may not transform his life. She has overseen the entire production pipeline and rigged 2D characters and animated them, as well as frame-by-frame animation. She hopes to bring more stories to life in the future and continue to share her work with others.

Background art
I drew the tree in my sketchy art style which contrasts with the rest of the films aesthetics. The gradient of the sky adds depth to the piece and the green border around the tree gives a more cut-out look.

This a still from my film and it shows the old man leaving his house and exploring his new adventure!

This is after a transformation scene, where dead trees come to life after music glides through it. This is at the start of the old man's journey, where he is yet to discover the reason for this change.

This a scene from the old man's kitchen. I used a real photo of a carpet for the floor in this background and mimicked old style wallpaper for this scene.
