Samuel Soltesz is a Storyboard Artist and Designer who loves to turn written stories visual. His passion lies in traditional pen and ink and working in black and white to create scenes full of strong emotions and expressions. He is a bookworm who loves to read children's and dark fantasy novels and play games, especially when they involve mystical fairies, goblins and worlds beyond our understanding. Some of his inspirations are The Books of Earthsea by Ursula Le Guin, the Dwarves series by Markus Heitz and Brian Froud's legendary art direction in films such as The Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal.

The assertive Ismene notices the twisted spy of the Pig King while protesting at the town centre. The gentle Coridon looks at her, concerned.
Coridon Fights the Twisted Spy
The peace-loving Coridon tries to stop the twisted spy of the Pig King to help Ismene, despite his fear. A dramatic low-angle shot, with flames surrounding the characters and a brave use of contrast.
Mango Fails to Eat Ice Cream
Mango tried to lick his ice cream, but it has fallen to the ground. He is so shocked that he forgets about gravity.
Mango Enjoys a Bagel
Mango loves to lick things, and he does lick them with astonishingly skilled tongue moves.
