Hani Monawar

Hey my name is Hani Monawar, I’m a passionate and detail-oriented sound recordist with hands-on experience in both professional film sets and academic productions. My journey in sound began during college in 2019, where I developed a deep understanding of audio capture, boom operation, and field mixing through a variety of short films, documentaries, and experimental projects.

Since then, I’ve taken my skills to larger sets and university, working alongside experienced crews on high-profile productions. These opportunities have sharpened my ability to adapt quickly, manage complex audio setups, and ensure clean, high-quality sound in dynamic environments. Whether it’s capturing crisp dialogue in a fast-paced scene or problem-solving on the fly in challenging locations, I bring technical expertise and creative intuition to every project.

I thrive in collaborative environments, and I’m always looking to elevate the story through precise and immersive sound.

Showreel as sound recordist

Hey, this is my short 1-minute showreel of all the fantastic projects I've been a part of at the University West of England. All of these projects I've had the joy of sound recording on.

Contact

A short film about how a couple is getting into a relationship. However, they soon find out that one has tested positive for Hiv. My self Hani was the sound recordist and sound designer for this short film.

The cube Sound recording

I was tasked with recording sound for the cables and cameras event at the cube. I managed to do this successfully whilst engaging with the network there, meeting some fantastic people, and getting great advice.

Safe looks good on you

'Safe looks good on you' is a short commercial on sexual health, which dives into 30 seconds of two people meeting each other in a nightclub who are attracted to each other. I was the sound recordist for this project.

Bossman shop

I was the main sound recordist / Sound editor for the short Uwe film 'Bossman Shop'. This film project takes place in a corner shop and features customers helping the shop owner finish his crossword puzzle.

Finding a home for your money

Finding a home for your money is a short commercial advertising a bank company that initially saves you money. I had the joy of being a boom op and also recording sound.
