Hello, I’m Samira a Persian multidisciplinary designer based in Bristol, with a primary focus on communication design. My work sits at the intersection of art, architecture, and design, and is always grounded in concept, research, and narrative. A deep curiosity for culture, history, and symbolism has led me to explore new visual languages ones that build meaningful bridges between past and present, East and West.
My practice focuses on the fusion of storytelling, typography, and form whether through character design and branding, or environmental and motion graphic design.
I’m continuously learning new tools and technologies, combining manual and digital techniques as complementary languages to express ideas. My projects are often research-based, open-ended, and interdisciplinary aiming to create reflective spaces that communicate humanistic, cultural, and poetic messages.
This environmental graphic design project focuses on cultural signage, exploring culture, storytelling, and communication. It integrates Iranian culture through thorough research, blending traditional and digital design with contemporary visuals, combining Eastern and Western cultural elements effectively.
Character design
This artwork is inspired by traditional Iranian patterns and features laser engraving on wood. The design combines cultural motifs with modern techniques, creating a unique fusion that highlights craftsmanship and heritage through detailed and precise laser work on natural wood.
Design of symbolic and meaningful characters
Based on Iranian symbols and visual signs, I designed characters and created them using laser engraving on cardboard. This technique highlights cultural motifs with precision and brings traditional elements to life in a contemporary form.
