Seaweed Relief Prints
A series of relief prints using seaweed collected from a beach in Cornwall. Experimenting with different materials.
My name is Ella and I'm an aspiring Illustrator and Printmaker from Cornwall. My work focuses on marine life and conservation whilst also drawing inspiration from Cornwall and it's rich history and folklore. I love to experiment with various materials and practices but my strengths lie in Lino printmaking as well as other forms of relief print & digital illustrations. I enjoy working with moving image and animating hand rendered images as well as storybook illustration - writing my own narratives and illustrating the stories.
My work aims to spread awareness of environmental issues and human impact on marine life in the form of art. My Cornish upbringing is the driving force behind the subject matter as well as a love for science and marine biology. I am open to expanding my practice and exploring different topics, I'm always looking to challenge myself creatively.
