My practice as a researcher, printmaker and bookbinder is rooted in an exploration of processes, materials, and moments within places. Working with paper, ink, and thread, I seek to reflect quiet observations of places in the landscapes that I am drawn to. Whether bound or singular, artefacts invite touch and close attention. Encouraging the viewer to engage with the dialogue between material, memory, and the landscapes we move through.
Alongside of my creative practice, I am a community-based Tutor teaching art binding, book repair, traditional bookbinding and a wide range of printmaking processes. My current practice is Devon-based, working in partnership with several art centres and Dartington Hall Bindery. I am now part of Spike Island Associates and seeking to expand my creative and teaching practice into the Bristol area.
