I am a Multidisciplinary Printmaker, Textile Artist & Art Educator. With natural materiality at the core of my practice, my work is created by hand. I draw, paint and print plein air. I have specialist skills in silkscreen print on textiles and paper. I am a wood engraver & I print lithographs & etchings which I combine with monoprint.
My work is underpinned by natural human connection to place. As we live through climatic, personal and environmental flux, we are on the edge of light. I observe moments as landscapes from the perspective of a naturalist. Perhaps we see continuity, yet we know there is transience throughout the minutia and the magnitude of each place experienced. Water meets land, trees cling to the wild steep mountain’s edge.
My printmaking is an expression of my dedication to the ecologists & artists who warned us of climate change. My work explores a
