Ryan Ostridge

Throughout my career at UWE I've tried my hand at many aspects of filmmaking, my goal is to go into writing and directing however as part of this course I've fallen into a sound specialism. While I've been directed a couple of spec adverts and two shorts, most of my UWE work has been in the sound department both recording and designing.

I've taken pride in my ability to create worlds, and sonically bring life to the projects I have worked on. In my three years I've become very familar with both sound recordist technology and industry standard editing software, like ProTools.

UWE film has allowed me to give myself the permission to become a filmmaker and harbour passions I've had since childhood. My aspirations remain the same with several projects in the pipeline, but this course has given me the confidence and skills I need to achieve them.
