Elena Jackson

My name is Elena Jackson, and I am a photographer from Bristol whose work explores identity, emotion, and human experience through visual storytelling. I graduated from Bournemouth University with a First-Class Honours degree in Photography. During my degree, my projects centred on themes of femininity, exploring women's experiences, identity, vulnerability, and the expectations placed upon them through thoughtful, research-led photographic work. I am now developing a new body of work “The silence only made it louder” exploring the feeling of being lost, using woodland landscapes and poetry as metaphors for uncertainty, belonging, and self-discovery. My creative practice has equipped me with resilience and attention to detail. I am passionate about creating meaningful work that connects with others, and I am excited to bring my curiosity and dedication into new professional opportunities while continuing to develop both personally and creatively.
