Rosie Mawson

Hello, my name is Rosie Mawson and I am from South Wales. I am a Media Communications graduate from UWE with a strong interest in storytelling, audience engagement and content creation.
Through university projects and volunteering, I have developed experience in filmmaking, photography and community/audience engagement. This experience mostly lies in what I want to pursue, which is work in the wildlife sector in the media. In the past I have enjoyed making creative thought-provoking projects and content that offers involvement with nature.
An example of this is a student live-brief task in which I helped make a promotional video for the Cotswold National Landscape's 60th anniversary, as well as engaging posts for social media. As well as this, my Image Cultures project Entanglement also looks into relationships between humans and nature, invoking thoughts about boundaries and connection.
My aspiration is to make meaningful work for nature and people.

Entanglement

This project is called ‘Entanglement’, and it looks at the relationship between the human and natural world. Inspired by the concept of the 'Meshwork' from Tim Ingold that everything exists through connection and lines, rather than separate.
