Neoma Stanford

Stanford investigates the space between desire and acceptance through soft sculpture, video, and creative writing. Working closely with a set of personal symbols, she explores the tension between mundanity and celebration - searching for understanding rather than resolution.

As a solo parent, Stanford is familiar with the relationship between the life that is, and the life that could have been. She uses confession alongside digital and physical manipulation of materials to portray this wonderfully flawed and profoundly contradictory relationship.

Having completed her MA, as well as a residency in Venice with Ethereal Maison, Stanford will exhibit at SWAP Art Fair from 8th - 11th October 2026. Moving forward she intends to continue her research and generate further visibility for solo parent artists.
