Zoe Parker Moon

Zoe Parker Moon is a video and performance artist whose work explores the relationships between people, objects and the spaces we share. Working mainly with moving image, they use performance, fiction and non-linear storytelling to create works that sit somewhere between reality and imagination.

Their work is playful, conceptual and often quietly funny- looking at the strange ways we relate to the world around us. They are interested in why we project meaning onto objects, how we look for connection in unexpected places, and what it means to exist in a body. Through performance, fictional histories and imagined scenarios, they often ask what happens when we try to connect with things that can't respond.

Alongside their artistic practice, Zoe is a Senior Lecturer in Digital Media at Manchester Metropolitan University, where their research focuses on accessible and sustainable approaches to teaching in higher education.
