Mina Popa

Mina Popa is a Bristol-based designer, writer and illustrator. Through their extensive background as writer-editor, they bring a storytelling-first approach to their practice, guided by their interest in the role design plays in culture and social histories. Their work usually blends analogue and digital mediums, playing with form and process. In their master’s degree project ‘VISTA’, they explore how ephemera design can tell the stories of emerging designers, using interconnected, transient objects to weave a narrative.

VISTA

As junior roles increasingly disappear amid economic uncertainty and rapid technological change, VISTA considers how emerging designers experience this shifting landscape. Through interconnected ephemera, VISTA traces their (hi)stories and portraits in the present time, beginning a dialogue with the future.
