Hamish Doogan

I am a conservationist, photographer and aspiring wildlife filmmaker. Growing up exploring Aotearoa New Zealand, getting out in nature and being surrounded by the outdoors sparked a love for conservation and the natural world from an early age.

One of my earliest childhood memories is coming home from kindergarten to watch BBC Natural History documentaries with my Grandma. These are memories which have helped shaped me into who I am today.

Studying Wildlife Filmmaking at UWE has been a dream opportunity for me to enhance my skills in wildlife filmmaking and filled me with confidence to go out and continue making independent projects beyond the course.

I strive to continue working on conservation films aimed at creating change, sparking conversation and hopefully create work that will inspire the next generation of filmmakers to come.
