Jamie Jumaquio is a Filipino writer, director, and videographer with over fifteen years of experience spanning independent film, commercial production, and documentary filmmaking. Having filmed in over forty countries — from remote ethnic tribes in Africa’s Rift Valley, to ancient temples across Asia — she is intent on building a career rooted in authentic,culturally sensitive storytelling.
Her work on feature films and a long-running travel documentary series has taken her far beyond the surface of places, and deep into the lives and stories of the people and species that inhabit them. An instinctive storyteller with an insatiable curiosity for the world, Jamie is now pursuing an MA in Wildlife Filmmaking at UWE Bristol, driven by a deeper purpose: to make films that not only document a beautiful but endangered planet, but to inspire people to protect it — bringing a distinctly Filipino voice and perspective to global stories that
matter.
