Reflection of Harbourside – Installation

Heavily inspired by the exhibition "Doing things separately together" by Warren and Mosley (2014), previously held at the Arnolfini. This installation aims to explore reflections of the city from individual perception through the use of projection mapping and reflection.

We aimed to create a system that collected mapping exercises that represented our individual readings of Harbourside, Bristol. Which would then be combined and projected onto a physical model of Harbourside - composing our individual perceptions of the city into one, interactive 3D map.

Reflection of Harbourside - Arnolfini Visualisation

A visualisation of what the Installation would look like occupying the space we envisioned within the Arnolfini.

1:1 Installation UWE prototype

A working prototype of the installation situated within our studio room in UWE.

Projection Mapping

Mapping layers projected onto the 3D model. Experimentation of how to orientate and layer the individual layers to create a cohesive reading of the city.

Prototype demonstration

A demonstration of the interactivity of the projection map. Users can intercept and modify the projections to interact with the 3D map.
