This was a collaborative commission project created by Thomas Salvage and James Cox for Seaford's Walk the Chalk event. This short film was created to entertain and educate the attendees and to provide the creators with experience working with clients.
This film is set in the 1850s, where demolitions were taking place at Seaford beach to create a breakwater to prevent coastal deterioration and erosion. People came from far and wide to witness the spectacle, including the famous Charles Dickens, who reported on the event in his weekly journal.
