In a country consumed by Soviet propaganda, Czech magazine editor Renata is handed an unusual assignment: launch a state-mandated horoscope column to boost morale. Desperate to reclaim a sense of control in her increasingly censored world, she sets out to track down the only writer bold—and eccentric—enough to take it on: the exiled, alcoholic Milan Kundera. As ideology and absurdity collide, Soviets and Star Signs blends satire and heart in a story about self-belief, creative resistance, and the quiet hope that even under oppression, the stars might still guide the way.
