I have always been proud of who I am and this leads me to use my own heritage as an inspiration for my collections. As a designer, I am very passionate about modest clothing and want to create modern and modest clothing for women. With the circumstances of working in lockdown, I have been more aware of sustainability and creating with what we already have.
Through these challenging times, crochet rose to become very popular once again. With this in mind, and also following my design ethos, to create modern and trendy modest garments, I felt that it was necessary
to use crochet in my collection. Being inspired by the crochet found in Turkish homes gave my collection the youthfulness and nostalgia I wanted to emit.
