Eleanor Webb-Thomas
During university, I was lucky enough to explore almost every department, but I have found my little nook in the art department. Over the past few years, I have honed my skills as an art assistant working on student projects and a range of freelance music videos and shorts. I also production designed three graduate films. I love how the art department allows you to grow a character and narrative purely through design.
Alongside my art department work, I have experience in film journalism, interviewing the likes of Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, and as a floor runner on music
Fenne Lily - Solipsism
I art assisted on this surreal music video, directed by Tom Clover. I up-cycled reclyling and rebranded it to stock the fake supermarket shelves. This was a super fun project and I am so pleased with the result!
Delphian Lullaby
I art assisted on this music video for up and coming artist Chloe Rogers. I helped to source key props and to set dress. This was a great experience in outdoor set dressing and design!
Honeymoon
Honeymoon is a comedy short about a newlywed couple who must dispose of a body. On this project, I was in charge of production design and costume.
Jaffa Space - Kodak Commercial
For this McVities commercial, I had three days to production design an alien spaceship. I sourced as much as possible from recycling and scrap stores. It won second best in brief at the NAHEMI Kodak Awards.
Carbon Copy
I art assisted on Carbon Copy, a short inspired by a collection of self-written poems that directly comment on experiences growing up as a Black woman within modern Britain. It was commissioned by BBC New Creatives.
Film Journalism Reel
Between 2017-2019 I produced social media content with the charity, Get Into Film, to promote education through film. I attended film festivals, screenings and interviewed the cast and crew of multiple films!
