George Wilkinson

Hey, I'm George! And at the age of 8, my parents bought me my first-ever film camera. It allowed me to express myself in a way I'd never experienced, and ever since I've been obsessed with the art of filmmaking. I've been lucky enough to work alongside some of the most talented filmmakers in the world. And the 9 months I spent collaborating with Aardman Animations from August 2020 - April 2021 massively improved my understanding and confidence with industry practice and expectation.

I've also worked on a multi-award winning short film After Hours (2021) as the writer, editor and

sound designer, receiving 4 individual awards and 8 nominations for 'excellence in editing'. I'm a young, passionate filmmaker who specialises in editing, writing and cinematography, and I'm now looking for the next opportunity to tell important stories and be creative!

After Hours (2021)

A multi-award winning short horror film which I wrote, edited and created the sound design. This experience developed my understanding of storytelling, teaching me how to generate an emotional and physical response from an audience.

Slaughterhaus (2020)

An eye-opening Pro-LGBTQ+ Documentary explores the Bristol zeitgeist and new-wave alternative drag culture empowering the people within this wonderful city. Co-DOP and sound designer.

South Cider Festival (2019)

Promotional Commercial for South Cider Festival. My first experience working to a brief for a paying client to create a commercial video for their brilliant festival. Camera operator and editor.

Tea Time (2021)

A short-form commercial created for the NAHEMI Kodak Competition, where we won Best Cinematography as well as a nomination for best in class. I was involved in the post-production of the film, mixing the audio levels and designing the sound.

What's Up With Everyone? (2021)

Aardman Animations Collaborator. Nine months working alongside industry-leading animators and filmmakers, providing creative and technical feedback on scripts and short films, ensuring the content and its delivery is suitable for the target audience of young adults and teenagers.
