Rosie Mason-Loader

I’m Rosie Mason-Loader, an experimental image-maker exploring the world of theatre, folklore and story-telling. My work is conceptually led, focusing on narrative and character through moving and still image; I thrive on challenging and pushing my capabilities within production, ideation and direction.

To elevate my projects, I enjoy group environments and collaboration, which allow me to exchange ideas and professional skills. Within my most recent project, I had to pitch a storyline to upcoming creatives, building a larger team to execute the project such as cinematographers and composers. Production and planning spanned over three months, shooting in four negotiated

locations in and around Bristol. It was my responsibility to cast, direct, budget, produce, style and edit all creative outcomes, as well as coordinate the cast.

THE DREAMER

A project exploring the relationship between folklore and childhood, questioning why stories reoccur in the adult subconscious. During this project, I created a short film, still imagery, a concept book and curated the exhibition ‘Who are we? Who are you?’.
