Lucas Hough

Lucas is an aspiring production designer based in Bristol. Having found a passion for working in the art department while studying filmmaking in his hometown of Nottingham, he came to UWE to build on his skills and understanding through hands-on experience offered by the Filmmaking BA.

During his time on the course, Lucas has worked in art-based roles across a wide variety of short films, helping create on-screen worlds across multiple genres, ranging from social realist to surreal, science fiction and fantasy. With skills and experience in designing and fabricating sets, props and costumes, he's now looking to further develop

his talents professionally in the film industry.

For his graduation film 'Speak No Name', he worked as the production designer, leading his own art department crew to design and build a fantasy world occupied by humans, evil spirits and even a cave-dwelling tree creature.
