Ellen Cole

I am a Bristol-based illustrator working in 2D and 3D elements to create surreal and whimsical imagery. I love traditional methods of creating, with paint and sculpture as my personal passion. I can combine the two by using photoshop to merge a creature/ character into a painted setting, making something surreal and otherworldly look realistic through the use of detail. I like to work within narrative-based illustration, and hopefully, one day have one of my illustrated children's books published.

I have a fascination for the world we live in, both close-up and a bigger point of view. Being out in

nature is definitely my biggest inspiration. I would say there is a sense of positivity and fun throughout my work, in the hope to inspire, taking a pause or making someone smile whoever may come across it.
