Ella Williams-Gardner

I am an art director and image maker exploring the intricacies of human experience; aiming to create connections between my audience and rateable emotions through fashion, photography and design.

My outcomes are as a result of my creative process manipulating aspects of my photography into design features. Using conceptual knowledge to visually communicate my ideas and reflect real opinions on the topics I uncover.

Through making printed publication and zines, I value the aspects physical print can add to a concept and elevate the creative storytelling of the look and feel of my projects.

Approach to Publishing

This year I have worked on tactile printing techniques in order to add to my concept development and create a look and feel to my work. This shows a spread from my publication 'Two Faced City.'

Emma Blythe SS24

A 360 campaign I created inspired by independent fashion designer Emma Blythe. This campaign looked at gender constructs through coded materials. I created hero imagery, video content and a publication to support the marketing of her current collection.

This Is a Distraction

A self directed zine exploring the push and pull between fixation and distraction in a digitally consumed world. A zine produced as a response to my dissertation on content creation in the 'age of distraction.

A group project where I took the role of art director while assisting with the photography. Positioned as a Beauty Papers editorial exploring two femme fatales in limbo.

Harmony and Hyperactivity
