Olivia Merrick

During my time at UWE, specialising in camera has taken me to film the Drag kings of Bristol nightclubs, surfers in the cold autumn waters of the Devon, and working with Directors to create a South Korean-inspired drama, to name but a few adventures. It has been an amazing opportunity to experience a wide range of projects and each one has taught me so much about filmmaking and my own love for storytelling through the camera.

Throughout my work, my passion remains for factual, adventure and natural history content, working in the outdoors and telling the stories of people engaging with the natural world around them. Upon leaving university I am looking for entry-level camera trainee work within factual TV and film.

The dream would be to work as DOP on adventure documentary content in partnership with companies whose ethos is to get people engaging with the outdoors.
